I have been praying that God would remove the blindness of our nation so people of all race and religion would see the truth of what has been slowly happening to our nation over the last several decades. We have slowly been turned into a nation of anarchy and lawlessness. Because we have moved away from the absolutes of God’s word, we have lost our way morally. As a result, we have murdered at least 60,000,000 babies since 1973 because of legalized abortion. God said this several millennia ago through the prophet Isaiah. (Isaiah 5:20-23)
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. 21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and shrewd in their own sight! 22 Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine, and valiant men in mixing strong drink, 23 who acquit the guilty for a bribe, and deprive the innocent of his right!”
There is only one problem with their pride and arrogance. The earth does not belong to the wicked. The earth is the Lords and all the peoples in it belong to Him (Ps 24:1-2 ESV).
“The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, 2 for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.”
God will have final say in all the wickedness that has taken place in the earth. Psalm 37 declares it so!!! I Psalm 37:1-3.)
“Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers! 2 For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb.3 Trust in the Lord and do good well in the land and befriend faithfulness. 4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
The Apostle Paul calls the early church,” Ambassadors of Christ” in this foreign country called “Earth”. (2 Cor 5:20 ESV)
“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”
As representatives of another kingdom, it is our responsibility to bring the culture of heaven to earth. Jesus taught us how to pray, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”. The Psalmist says that “the foundation of His throne are justice and righteousness.” (Ps.89:4) Thus, as believers we should not have a particular political party. We should be a part of the party that more closely aligns itself with the principles of the Kingdom of God. Many believers, because of faulty teaching believe that we should not get involved in “politics” and should just be concerned about getting people saved.
God calls us also to be a “kingdom of priests” and to intercede for God’s righteousness to be established in the foundation of the nations where we live. In many ways the church as abdicated its responsibility in this area and we are paying dearly as a result. We are extremely close in having our religious freedom taken away. The extreme radical left has set the sights on destroying any form of Christianity in our culture.
However, God because of His loving, forgiving nature and mercy is about to turn the tables. I believe that we are on the door of the greatest shift in the history of the world. That Lord will have the final say. Because there have been faithful intercessors that have prayed fervently in their prayer closets for God to move, I believe He is about to in ways that we have never seen. The best is yet to come! Just make sure you are on the right side of the aisle of His righteousness regardless of what political party you might be affiliated with. I loved the verses Bobby Connor reminded us of yesterday from 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 (ESV)
“13 When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, 14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
