During Jesus first coming, there were signs in the heavenliness of His appearance. Matthew details the event in the second chapter.
“Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
Now tradition says that these “magi” were descendants from the Chaldeans and counselors of those who were constantly challenging Daniel and trying to have and and his fellow Hebrew brethren “snuffed’ out. It seems he was able to change their opinion as these men followed the star that led them to the “Christ-child”
The chief priests and elders were well versed in the scripture and knew the exact place where the Christ child was born (Matt 4:5-6). However, unlike the magi and Herod, they had no interest in going to worship Jesus.
Jesus later stated in Matthew 24:30 that His second coming would also be announced by a “sign in the heavenliness.
“Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”
This event is repeated in Revelation 12:1-2;
“And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 2 She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth.”
There are some believe that this event actually happened from November 10, 2016 and completed exactly 42 weeks later on September 23, 2017. What does all of it mean? Personally, I believe there has been a shift in the earth and I believe we are entering into a new season to witness the greatest harvest we have ever seen.
