He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of the One who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open. I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door, which no one can shut." Revelation 3:6-8

This is a very familiar scripture to the body of Christ. It is often quoted in sermons and declared in prayer….” God will open a door that no man can shut. He will shut a door that no man can open.” Most often this is in the context of ministry or opportunities that the Father is putting before us.

But what I sensed the Father say was that there are open doors that He has put before many of us. These doors can be ministry opportunities, creative ideas, relationship opportunities, all of which can lead to our destiny. These are places the Father has prepared for us to enter. What I saw was people standing at the doorway of the places He has for them, but they fail to step over the threshold.  He went on to emphasize to me that even though the door is open, they are remaining still in the position of hesitation, waiting, instead of acting upon what He has shown them.

Some are waiting for another prophetic word. Person prophecy primarily confirms what was already in your heart and not necessarily direction. It is a confirmation that what you are sensing, and hearing is from God and not something you have dreamed up in your own imagination.

Others are waiting for man to validate them again. Now, God will align us with those we are to serve and to honor as we are being trained in our calling. While those we are in submission to is a posture of relationship not lordship. In this way we can receive a measure of the grace upon their lives. This relationship enables us to be instructed so we may avoid pitfalls they have encountered along the way. These Father-hearted leaders will guide us in a way we could not have gone on our own. They will also be ones who know there will be a time when we will be released to enter what we have been called to do. Every person has a calling, so this is not just for five-fold folks!

I cannot pass up this subject without again stating that our character is more important than just gifting. If we do not allow the Father to develop our character, we will not be able to carry the anointing that is upon our lives. We will become shipwrecked and, depending upon our level of influence, we can shipwreck others' faith as well. We are never to step out from a place of rebellion.

Others are still questioning their ability to be able to do what He has called them to do. The callings of God are always more than what we can accomplish with our own abilities and strength. Just imagine Gideon when God instructed him to take on the large Midianites army with just 300 men! Everyone named in the hall of fame listed in Hebrews 11 faced impossible tasks, but God was faithful to them because He created them for impossibilities. You have been created to do the impossible!

The Great Awakening is upon us. It is going to take all hands-on deck to minister to the multitudes. Our pastors alone cannot handle the masses. Our teachers and other leaders cannot handle the massive harvest that is right at the doorstep. Many of you have been trained and are students of the Word. If we feel we are not quite ready, find someone who is operating in the same gifting that you have been given. Observe them. Offer to help them so that you may glean from what the Lord has shown them in this particular grace. We do not want to be like the ones who were given talents from the Lord but instead buried them out of fear. (Matthew 25:14-30)

It is time to rise up my brothers and sisters. It is time to allow the portion of the glory of the Lord that He has placed within you to shine. It is time that the world see who our Jesus really is and what He is like! People are waiting for what the Lord has placed within you!

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven..." Matthew 5:14-16
