We seem to be living in unprecedented times. In fact, some might say “apocalyptic”. There is so much confusion and fear out there to navigate through. Does anyone else see the insanity in mandating a “jab” for a “virus” that under proper care from correct protocol is 99.9% recoverable? It appears from all the friends I’ve lost in the last 18 months that the best way to not die is to stay out of the hospital. When I was hospital last January, a nurse screamed at me that “if you go to the ICU unit, I would surely die”. I later found out from another nurse that 75% of those that go into the ICU end up in the morgue. I’m so glad that God heard my and your prayers and healed me. Nurses called my recovery “miraculous”. No kidding!!

Which brings me to the point I want to make. No matter what difficulty we’re facing, Jesus also brings us hope. Even death is not the end. There is hope in Jesus beyond the grave. The Apostle Peter said this in his epistle; 1 Peter 3:15-16 (ESV)

“but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,16 having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.”

“We above all others should be people of hope. Hope does not mean, ignoring the issues, running around in fear, or living in despair. Hope is knowing that Jesus is using everything to conform us into His image; Romans 8:26-29 (ESV)

“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.”

Why, so He can reveal Himself through a harvest of sons who look like Him. So many believers are waiting for the “rapture’ to get them out of here. I’m afraid this is an escapist doctrine which the scripture doesn’t support. At least not in the way we’ve been taught. You see, Jesus is not interested in populating Heaven or Hell, He is only interested on fulfilling His word that the “Gospel of the Kingdom” will be preached to every nation of the earth, then the end will come (Matt.24:14). There is a separation taking place in the church right now (Matt 25). God is separating out for Himself a people that will walk in complete obedience to His promptings. We are entering a season of warfare. The end of the age is upon us. It will not be tragic but rather be glorious. Here is God’s promise; Habakkuk 2:14 (ESV)

“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.”

No matter what it seems like right now, glorious days are coming, the greatest harvest in all of time is upon us. Jesus said this Luke’s Gospel, 21:25-28 9 (ESV)

“And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, 26 people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

In other words, no matter what’s going on around you, keep your eyes on Jesus. He is our only hope!
