I was watching a video by Ray Comfort of “Living Waters” ministry, and he was commenting on the connection of the “Hollywood Fires” to Hollywood’s “Golden Globe Awards” that were on TV last Sunday night. Apparently, the hostess was mocking and blaspheming God during the telecast. The fires began within 48 hours of the program resulting in billions of dollars of property loss as well as tragically, the loss of life. How the fires started is immaterial at this point. I’m reminded of what the Apostle Paul said to the church of Galatia in his letter in Galatians 6:7-8 (ESV)
“Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
As Neville Johnson spoke as this season being the season of reaping of all the seed that has been sown, both good and evil, we are seeing all the fruit from the corrupt seed that was sown both in the world and in the church. As we move into this season, the time between sowing and reaping a harvest will shrink exponentially. We must especially care for the language that comes from our lips as “life and death are in the power of our tongue’ (Prov 8:21). We must speak blessing and not cursing. Those that speak curses will receive the reward of their words quickly.
Before I continue, let’s take a minute and like Isaiah did in Isaiah 6, as the Angel of the Lord to take a coal from the altar and cleanse our lips.
As the Lord said through the Apostle Peter in 2 Peter 3:1-7 (ESV)
“This is now the second letter that I am writing to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder,2 that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles, 3 knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. 4 They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, 6 and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. 7 But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
We live in a very serious time because whether we want to realize it or not, transformation is coming to our nation and world in 2025. This is the plan of the Lord. We are entering a golden age of the Kingdom. Remember, the One seated on the throne said “Behold I make all things new again”. Remember when Don was here, he taught us that the original language said that He is making a “clean” Heaven and Earth. I believe we will continue to see some of the darkest areas of the world go through major transformation. Even the earth will reject sin when the defilement is bad enough. (Lev 28:18)
“So do not defile the land and give it a reason to vomit you out, as it will vomit out the people who live there now”
That’s why all creation is waiting for the revealing of the “sons of God” according to Romans 8, to release it from the curse of sins defilement. Romans 8:19-22 (ESV)
“19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.
We are moving into the most incredible ages since creation being orchestrated by the Spirit of God and confirmed by the Word of God.
We were created for this! Surely, the best is yet to come! Why? Because that’s always been God’s plan.
