Ever since the mid 1990’s, I have felt the burden to “stand in the gap” for our nation. Looking back, I have always had a deep love for the United States even as a boy growing up in Canada. So, it was no surprise that the Lord moved me here in 1987. It was through men like Ed Silvoso, Chuck Pierce and Arthur Burke that the Lord introduced us to concepts like “spiritual mapping” and “redemptive gifts” for nations and cities. God opened my eyes to a believer’s mandate of “identificational repentance” and standing in the gap for our nation.  I have been burdened that more believers have not caught this vision and necessity of praying for their nation. To me it is the role of true “sonship”. I am grateful to the “Band of brothers” (and sisters) the Lord has given us at Cornerstone who come together every Wednesday night to pray as the Lord leads but often times prays for our nation.

Why don’t more Christians take on this mandate from the Lord? I believe that’s is largely because of two historical events that was a strategic plan of Satan to weaken the Body of Christ in America especially in these last days.

The first being the passage of the “Johnson Amendment.” This amendment was passed in 1954 by then senator Lyndon Johnson. Under terms of the 1954 legislation (named for its principal sponsor, then-Sen. Lyndon Johnson), churches and other nonprofit organizations that are exempt from taxation "are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office,” according to the code of the IRS.

The back story is that several pastors in Texas wanted to have LBJ investigated for criminal activities including murder that had taken place while he was running for the senate in the state of Texas. The passing of this legislation silenced them. So began the myth of the “separation of church and state.”  When the Bible was legislated out of schools in 1963, the church barely raised a finger in opposition.

The second event happened much earlier but also affected the church culture in both the 20th and 21st centuries. The first publication of the “Scofield Bible” in 1909. It was the first Bible since the Geneva Bible in 1560 that published commentary along with scripture. Scofield believed between creation and the final judgment there are seven distinct eras of God's dealing with humanity and that these eras or dispensations are the framework around which the message of the Bible can be explained. Thus, most of the end-times focused around the role of the nation of Israel and not the responsibility of the church.

These “Zionists” funded the production of this Bible;  Gompers, LaGuardia, Straus, Baruch and Schiff. A “Zionist” is a person who believes in the establishment and protection of a Jewish nation in what now is Israel.  This was established by the Belfour Declaration in 1917 after the great war. Thus, when England’s control of Palestine ended in 1947, Israel was given her owned nation in a land mostly populated by Arabs. This was formalized by the “Zionists” and “United Nations” in 1948 even though many orthodox Jews were against it at the time. All this fit the “prophecy” spelled forth by Scofield so the church started looking for the “rapture” instead of influencing culture by staying engaged in the seven mountains of culture. Through recent revelation, both the publication of the Scofield Bible and the Belfour Declaration were in actuality funded by the Rothchild’s, one of the most powerful families of the Cabal (elite).  In fact, the Rothchild family still owns 90% of the land of Israel. They also controlled 48% of the world’s wealth.

Question, was it true prophesy or just a well devised scheme to trick the church from maintaining their “saltiness”? The devastating result of this theology of the Schofield Bible absolutely removed the purpose for the church in taking dominion, in my view.. Is it possible, that this whole emphasis on dispensationalism has weakend a church that no longer cares about authority and power of the believer? Ever since the development of these two events, our nation has been on a steady moral decline. Thankfully, books such as “Victorious Eschatology” by Harold Eberle has begun to shift the focus back on our responsibility.

Jesus said this about the us Matthew 5:13-16 (ESV)

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.”

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Jesus also said this in Mark 16:15 (ESV)

“ He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

Paul reemphasizes this in Romans 8:19 (ESV)

For the creation waits in eager expectation for the sons (Uios) of God to be revealed.

So, I said all this to share this. Several weeks ago I gathered with between 4-500 people outside the “Frederick County Public School” offices to protest the school board’s plan to introduce gender confusion teaching into our county schools beginning this fall. I found out earlier this week, that the board voted in favor last Monday night totally ignoring the wishes of the 100’s of people coming to peacefully protest and share their concerns.

Then last Saturday, 100’s from the LGBTQ community took to the streets of once “conservative” Frederick for their annual Gay parade. I received a video from their march in NYC! Their chant? “We’re here, we’re there, we’re here for your children”

Our own Sherriff has been falsely accused by those behind all these events and is facing a number of false charges because he stands for conservative values.

Where is much of the church? Either still too concerned about “COVID” or waiting for the rapture instead of fighting. What about light vs darkness? How much more must happen for Christians to finally wake up? The Apostle Paul said this Ephesians 5:11-15 (ESV)

“11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. 13 But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, 14 for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,”

“Awake, O sleeper,   and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

How do we fight? The first is to pray! The Apostle Paul wrote this in Ephesians 6:12 (ESV)

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

The he commands “PRAY”! Prayer is the only way to engage with the heavenly hosts to destroy the enemies of the light. Join our Wednesday night prayer group. Start a prayer hub! Light, always puts out darkness, ALWAYS!!! Turn you walking into “prayer walking”. Ask the Lord where to go in a city! He will direct you!!

Secondly, get involved. Write letters to the editor. Write letters to the school board. Get these ones out of office who will not protect our children. Get behind and support “Christian” teachers and administrators.

Pull your kids out of public schools and homeschool them.

We have stood in the gap for this city, county, state and country since 1992. We will prevail if we don’t faint. Keep fighting! Isaiah 59:19 (KJV)

So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in, like a flood the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

I’ve read the back of the book!!! WE WIN!!!  NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP!!!!
