I believe we are moving into the most incredible time of the church in the history of the known world. There are so many scriptural indicators that point to this. The “Feasts of the Lord” listed in the book of Leviticus 23 paint an awesome prophetic picture of the purposes of the Lord. I was introduced to this teaching by Neville Johnson years ago.. Although I don’t have the time or space to address all seven feasts here, I would like to address the three major ones. The first feast, “Passover” (Leviticus 23:4-8) points prophetically to the ultimate sacrifice of Christ, the perfect Lamb of heaven. Jesus gave Himself to end the sacrificial system that the original Passover began. The second major feast, “Pentecost” (Leviticus 23:16) which was 50 days after Passover points to the coming of the Holy Spirit. This speaks prophetically of the “Day of Pentecost” and the pouring out of the Holy Spirit which was a beginning, not a full consummation. Read what Luke wrote in the Book of Acts; 2:14-18 (ESV)
“But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words. 15 For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.16 But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel:
17 “‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; 18 even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.”
Notice that the prophetic word said “ALL FLESH”; not just 125 in the upper room. I know it wasn’t fulfilled that day because the Gentiles didn’t receive the Holy Spirit until Acts 10. This brings me to the final two feasts; the “Feast of Trumpets” (Leviticus 23:24) and the “Feast of Tabernacles” (Leviticus 23:34).
Just as the first two were prophetic statements that came to past in two of the greatest historical events not just in the church but in the world. I believe that God has planned the best for last. Why? Because we are always moving from “glory to greater glory”; 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (ESV)
“17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”
Harvest is on God’s heart; 2 Peter3:9 (ESV)
“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”
It always has been; John 3:16-17 (ESV)
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”
God is the consummate farmer. He would not be planting seed for over 2000 years without planning for a massive harvest at the end of the age.
The second aspect of this move will be the “tabernacle” meaning God dwelling with us. It’s time for the body of Christ to honor His presence again. God is going to fill us personally and corporately with such an awesome manifestation of His presence, that the fear of the Lord will fill the church again. Healings and miracles will take place because God’s presence will be so strong. The remnant church is the womb for what God is going to do. Two feasts that are part of the preparation for this great harvest are “Feast of Unleavened Bread” and “Feast of First-fruits”. This speaks of getting rid of the mixture in our lives. Church can no longer be something we come and do but we must come in and honor His presence regardless of who is leading worship or speaking. The day is coming when even the church “mice” will be anointed by the presence of God. The remnant will be the first to receive this baptism of fire to prepare us for this great day. Buildings will not be able to hold the mass amounts of people coming to Christ in this season.
The Good News; many believe that this 3rd “Great Awakening” has already begun in California. God is pouring out His Spirit and 1000’s of people are coming to the Lord in recent days. It’s like the “Jesus Movement” of the 1970’s all over again. This is not a “conservative evangelical” or “charismatic” thing; this is a God thing. Soon it will begin to sweep across the nations. Why? Because God has always been interested in harvest. Its time for all of us to get our houses and hearts in order to prepare us for this awesome season.”Lord Jesus, don’t pass us by!” Truly, the best is yet to come!!!
The Spirit and the Bride say “Come, Lord Jesus!!”
