God is Faithful
WOW! What an incredible couple of weeks; talk about a range and swing of emotions. It’s in times like these that we need to lean on the Lord and “learn of him.” Isaiah said this through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Isaiah 55:8-11 (ESV)
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
God is about one thing; the fulfillment of His word. He watches over it to perform it. His “zeal” accomplishes it. Nothing can stop His Word from being fulfilled. All His glorious attributes demand it to be so. God has a plan for the ages; that we would be formed into His image and dwell intimately with Him. He has a plan for the world. First, He must gather up the tares, bind them and then throw them into the fire. Then the harvest; then the end (Matthew 24:14). That is His redemptive purpose for all of us. That’s His heart and the purpose for man.
I am dismayed by the number of believers that do not understand this ultimate purpose of the Lord and fall into “frantic” and “fear” of what has been happening in our nation. Many prophets speak out of the 2nd heaven and add to this problem through their “double-mindedness.” Many are totally missing what the Lord is actually doing in the world in this season. Instead of going to the Lord, we rush to the prophetic and treat them as psychics and fortune tellers. You must dig your own well and not listen to those who “flip – flop’ because of circumstances. God is absolutely bringing forth His purposes behind the scenes to prepare us for the ultimate harvest. His word demands it! I really miss my friend Kim Clement. Go back and listen to His prophetic words. Say what you will about Kim but He spoke the “word” of the Lord and never wavered. He gives tremendous insight and to where we are today; Including the prophetic word about “Two Presidents”.
So, when you’re not sure what’s going on. Lean onHim and get still and listen to His voice in times of difficulty. He shares His secrets with His friends. He will whisper to you; “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.” I leave this thought with the words of King Solomon; Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)
“5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
He must fulfill His word!! Why? Because He is God!!!
