Today, we look at the assignment and mandate of the “last tribe”. As you read the second part of the vision, there is a recognition that the vision the Apostle Jackie had certainly matches Cornerstone’s DNA on so many levels. We can and will not compromise on the assignment given to us by the Lord. Enjoy!
“As Moses had leaders from each one of the twelve tribes of Israel, so will there be twelve forerunners in this last tribe. These forerunner leaders ought to understand the assignment.
What is this assignment?
Part of the assignment is revealed in Jeremiah 1:5-12
“But the LORD said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD. Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.” The word of the LORD came to me: “What do you see, Jeremiah?” “I see the branch of an almond tree,” I replied. The LORD said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.”
The assignment includes:
• That these forerunners must walk in total obedience to “go to everyone” they are sent.
• “To say” whatever they are commanded to say by God. The assignment will be to be a voice. These forerunners will be the voice to correct and take down the structures of incorrect foundations and building of churches.
• An appointment for the “nations and kingdoms in order to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”
“Uproot”:
This is root out fleshly structures and mind-sets of the church. Root out is taking something out from where it is established, planted, growing or standing. This is a dispositioning of the root.
Pull (something, especially a tree or plant) out of the ground (verb). Move (someone) from their home or familiar location (Merribian-Webster, 1828). Root out is a whole in the foundation and you fill it with the right foundation, which is Jesus Christ. This is rooting out the demonic influence of something that is rotten, decade or no good. It does not serve God’s purpose. But when you fill it in with the right foundation, the structure can be redeemed.
“Tear or pull down”: When one pulls something down for example a branch, it can be investigated and evaluated. If there is some ramification to be done, then it is possible to do it. Pull down is maintenance. It is something that should be there but was neglected, or defiled, but it should not be taken out of alignment or dispositioned. It is already in its rightful purpose; it should only be maintained.
“Destroy”:
To bring to a lower level - reduce, demolish and destroy.
It is a place of desolation. There is nothing that can be rebuild, not even a hole is made like when a tree is removed.
End the existence of (something) by damaging or attacking it, ruin (someone) emotionally or spiritually, defeat (someone) utterly, whipped out (Merribian- Webster, 1828).
“Overthrow or throw down”: Remove forcibly from power (Merribian-Webster, 1828). “Build”: A structure with a roof and walls, such as a house or factory. The action or
trade of constructing something (Merribian-Webster, 1828).
“Plant”: Put (a seed, bulb, or plant) in the ground so that it can grow. Set or place in a particular position (Merribian-Webster, 1828).
• To see into dimensions where others are not necessary seeing - “What do you see, Jeremiah?”
Jeremiah was in such a dimension that God told him that he, Jeremiah, sees well, good, beautiful, skilful, pleasing and accepted (H3190, yaw-tab’). Jeremiah did not even see the branch; he could identify which tree it was. Thus, he could see the original intent of the branch! This was the dimension that the forerunner leaders will move in. They will be able to see well. They will be able to see the original intent of a church, a person, a city etc. They will be able to see what God saw!
God then said, “You have seen well” and He was “ready to perform His Word”. God walk with Jeremiah, and they had a conversation that was understandable to Jeremiah, and God confirm Jeremiah in that dimension. They had a conversion, like friends! God shared His heart and He shared His secret with Jeremiah by seeing that what he saw will come to pass, shortly. God could speak to him from the secret place, because Jeremiah could see well, and identify the original intent of the branch.
The twelve forerunner leaders of the last tribe that God is calling in this time on earth will have the ability to see what is needed to be rooted out, pull down, destroy, throw down or what needs to be plant because of their relationship with God.
NOT A MOSES BUT THAT OF A JOSHUA
Moses had to bring a nation out of Egypt and being stuck in the wilderness for 40 years, but more a Joshua and Caleb that take a nation into the Promised Land. This assignment includes leading God’s people out of a structure of dead religion (Egypt) directly to the promise land. Also, it would be like a Joshua and Caleb assignment that have to bring God’s people into their inheritance and know how to access the riches in the promise land for the last tribe. Joshua and Caleb had the ability to saw things different that the other spies. They had the same ability and mind-set as Jeremiah had when God asked Him what he saw, he saw exactly what God showed him. Joshua and Caleb did not see the giants or obstacles, they saw the provision and riches in the promise land. This is the same anointing in which the final tribe will move. They will not see the obstacles (e.g. global economics, politics of the day etc.), they will see with God’s eyes - the riches, opportunities and inheritance to the people. They will bring the fruitfulness, the greatness in for the people of God. The occupation of the promise land was not for the twelve tribal leaders only, but it was rather for the people of God. The ten spies did not go and see if Canaan was a good place for themselves, but they represented the nation of God. From that only a remnant could go in, namely Joshua and Caleb. The final tribe will be a remnant like Joshua and Caleb was, they who have a “different spirit” (Numbers 14:24). Because they were part of the remnant, they could be handed the succession after Moses. The whole relationship between God and Israel is a shadow of the relationship between Christ and His bride.
IT IS TO AWAKE
These forerunners will have the assignment to go into churches and “awake” the body of Christ as it is written in Zechariah 4:1 and Jeremiah 1 about the almond tree, which is “the awakening tree”.
“Then the angel who talked with me returned and woke me up, like someone awakened from sleep. He asked me, “What do you see?”
Zechariah 4:1 (New International Version Bible, 1989)
The almond tree is the awakening tree. Therefore, when the almond tree starts to bloom, the other trees starts to be “excited” because they know their time is coming to bloom and shine. The twelve forerunner leaders are awakeners, in other words they will not stand still, but have the ability to walk in the assignment that God has given them so that they can go and awake the sleeping church.
“What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’” Then the word of the LORD came to me: “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you. “Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the LORD that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone[a] in the hand of Zerubbabel?” Then I asked the angel, “What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?” Again I asked him, “What are these two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that pour out golden oil?” He replied, “Do you not know what these are?” “No, my lord,” I said. So he said, “These are the two who are anointed to serve the Lord of all the earth.”
Zechariah 4:9-14 (New International Version Bible, 1989)
This awakening of the church or people should take place before the temple of God could be rebuild as was instructed to Zerubbabel in Zechariah 4:9-14. The temple is built by bringing the church back to God’s original intent through uprooting and tearing down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant according to God’s original intent.
